Google held its Google i/o event and introduced a lot of software and hardware improvements and its future plans. The main introduction in the hardware sector was the introduction of the Pixel 3a and 3a XL.
With this google is trying to reach out to the budget sector and more accessibility of the latest software to the masses. Both the devices will run the latest software from Google and will receive updates for 3 years including the next Android Q build. There will be no compromises in the software side as it will include all the software tricks the same as all the pixel devices like the always on display, call screen and adaptive battery.
On the performance side, both the devices are equipped with Snapdragon 670 coupled with 4GB of RAM and 64GB ROM non-expandable memory and there are no variants with more memory options.
Pixel is solely relying on in the camera aspects to sell the device like the camera software, hdr enhancements and night sight. With 12MP rear and 8MP front it will be managing to keep the bar high enough to prove its price point. It also offers high-quality unlimited photos backup for its photos.
Google is also offering security in the form of its titan M chipset and 3 years updates.
The difference in 3a and 3a XL is the screen size 5.5" and 6" respectively and battery of 3000mAh and 3700mAh respectively. The displays have no notch or in-display fingerprint reader. The battery will be managed with the adaptive battery software which works very good and Google is claiming 30 hrs of time.

At this price point pixel is relying on the camera, security and software to make the sales. But in the Asian market where phones have snapdragon 845 in ₹20000/- phone and the google camera is modded for every phone and can be sideloaded it is going to be a tough sell.
